EXPERIENCE
Berkeley Communications Emeryville, CA April 2007 – Present
· Built out proprietary BC data center consisting of NetAPP 940c, NetApp 3050c, 12 web servers, 2 F5 Big IP Load Balancers, 2 Enterasys switches, Perle Console Servers, Server 2003 Domain Controllers, Exchange 2003 Cluster, mysql database cluster, all to house infrastructure for different projects within Berkeley Communications Company. Built out this data center from the ground up.
· NetApp setup, install, cabling, maintenance nfs, cifs, iSCSI.
· Set up complete monitoring systems for above infrastructure using Nagios/Cacti/SNMP.
Topica San Francisco, CA July 2005 – April 2007
· Manage heterogeneous network environment consisting of RH Linux, Solaris, Debian, FreeBSD, NetApp, BigIP’s in multiple co-locations.
· Manage complex Topica application run on multiple systems.
· Document process and procedures: adding new employees, applications procedures, troubleshooting techniques etc.
· Install company-wide software, Twiki, Jabber, OTRS.
· 24 X 7 on call duty, responsible for entire corporate and production systems.
· Maintain monitoring systems, mon and Nagios for monitoring of corporate and production systems.
· Manage Corporate infrastructure Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory, Exchange 2003.
· Migrated Topica from NT 4.0 infrastructure to current Windows 2003 Domain.
RagingNet South San Francisco, CA Jun 2001 – July 2005
· Responsible for monitoring and maintaining customer networks: servers, routers, switches, PIX firewall, etc.
· Handle server hardware/software problems which include replacing failing hardware components, trouble shoot server connectivity issues, maintain DNS, access-lists, and general maintenance of all networking equipment.
· Hands on experience with data centers, installing, configuring, removing, and rebuilding servers (Windows, Red Hat Linux, Fedora Core, FreeBSD, and Solaris).
· Produce daily reports concerning status of customer networks, which include new problems and ongoing issues using Remedy ticketing system.
· Responsible for maintaining RagingNet’s South San Francisco LAN including domain controllers, remote access, routers, switches and desktop workstations.
· Experience working with telecom companies such as WorldCom, PacBell and ELI troubleshooting T1/T3 circuits for RagingNet and our customers.
· Experience configuring web servers behind Big IP load balancer, configuring firewall rules and NAT translations and a thorough understanding of networking technologies.
